The River is Wide……

…… and it is still very wide in some sections. This is the Taylor River carrying floodwater from the horrendous storm of yesterday. All the paths are underwater in this area. I wore high gumboots when I walked Maisie this morning. Thus I negotiated some water-covered paths while Maisie splashed through them. It’s such a relief to have weather conditions improving throughout Marlborough. Evacuees have been allowed home but many areas of rural Marlborough are still isolated by slips and flooding.
