Loyalty by convenience
I have a Tesco Clubcard, borne from the fact the supermarket is the nearest one to my house. It is loyalty by convenience, not necessarily by support, or by advocacy. In short, I'm not particularly a fan of Tesco, but nor am I fan of any supermarket. Tesco is a five-minute walk away, passed from the nearest train station on my homeward commute. Is it better than Sainsbury's or Asda? Probably not, but nor is it worse, and despite the so-called 'price-war', the prices are much of a muchness. I am not a fan of 'settling', accepting something for lower reason than it's the best, but it seems I've 'settled' for Tesco.
