Krista, Dan and Bruce

Up early so I had a chance to upload photos from yesterday. I took this photo outside after supper.
The ferry trip went well. The number of people wasn't overwhelming, and quite a few were wearing masks as recommended. It was so great to drive off and take the familiar route to Renata and James' house. We hadn't seen James for nearly 19 months, so it was awesome to see him again. We had a relaxing afternoon just hanging out until Kalyn got home from work.  Krista and Dan came over after work too. We hadn't seen Dan for nearly 19 months and Krista for almost a year - so great to have huge hugs with them! Renata made us a delicious supper of asparagus and leek soup and salad, and after supper we relaxed around the fire pit. The change in temperature is such a relief, and we couldn't have imagined sitting around the fire just a couple of weeks ago. 
Our granddog Cooper (extra) is getting older and I so wanted to see him too. He's not so active now, definitely slowed down. I thoroughly enjoyed giving and getting some love from him. Bruce, Krista and Dan's dog, stays with Renata and James some days when the kids are working. Fun seeing him again too, such a loving little bundle of energy.
