Steaming up

A fine day in Oban today, but mist hanging down over the hills all around. Fortunately it didn't descend to town level and it's remained sunny here all day.

Down to the ferry this morning to pick up Daughter One who's staying over until tomorrow, halfway between my birthday and Daughter Two's! 

Took a few boaty pictures while waiting for the ferry to arrive, including this one of 'Glen Tarsan', of the Majestic Line. "Like her sister ship Glen Massan, the Glen Tarsan is a lovingly converted wooden hulled former fishing boat."

In the background is the former Church of Scotland, now a children's playgroup centre.
