Never Judge A Book By It's Cover
This is the lovely Chess. To observe Chess in her stable, you'd think she was the most docile and laid back horse ever. She'll stand quite happily to be groomed and will even walk up to the indoor school without needing to be led. However, once you're on her back, she's a little firecracker! Michael very kindly let me ride her today and I was well warned not to use my legs too much as she might just take off with me! I only walked her around the school a couple of times but I loved her forward, marching walk! I also rode the Robster today and, do you know what, I think he's improving. He's standing at the mounting block now without too much of a fuss and he's not stopping so much and refusing to move forward. He's not spooking as much either and I'm starting to get the feeling he's beginning to enjoy himself. Sometimes all it takes is a little patience!
Ps We decided to see if the Robster would follow me in the school today. He did. It was lovely.
