School's out!!!!!

And then they were done. The reception teacher was almost in tears as she gave the youngest a big hug. We then headed to the ice-cream van in the school car park, organised by the PFA and every child had a free ice cream, so great!! The head teacher told me he had received an awful lot of gin from parents and would do his best to work his way through it all over the summer. 

Play date after school which they loved, and I had a lovely time chatting to the other mum.

Today I'm grateful for:
The regular pictures I  get sent by the husband when he goes out with the dog. Its kind of our new normal now, just to check he is OK (today's pic)
A day spent sewing, I decided I needed a 'me' day
The end of term and a glorious summer ahead.
