Perfectly preserved

Today we visited Chastleton House for the first time, what an incredible place! It's a really beautiful Jacobean house owned by a family who fought on the losing side of the civil war and the fines imposed left them dire straights financially. The house appears almost exactly as it would have in those times. Huge fun to explore and beautiful gardens too.
