Skiddaw or Bust!
I made it! I walked up Skiddaw. It's the fourth highest mountain in England. 931 m (3,054 ft) to be exact. I haven't scaled a hill that high in years.
We didn't walk the most popular route either. We went from Dodd Wood via Ullock Pike, Longside Edge and Carl Side and then up a very steep slate slope.
The views we had were spectacular even though there was sporadic cloud. I was very grateful for that as it would have been too hot for me to complete the walk.
There were times when I didn't think I'd make it and we were walking for around 6 hours. So it's spurred me on to try a few more in the future.
