welcome home

It's so lovely to open the car door when I get back from work and to be greeted by Jess's smiling face :-)

Another sunny day and D and I sat in the garden reading our books for a while. I finished mine ("Drood" by Dan Simmons). I've now finished with Dickens for a while, I think. I've  managed to read all the novels before turning 60 as well as reading Claire Tomalin's biography and the 800 pages of "Drood" and I have watched several BBC adaptations and films and "Dickensian" and I have visited the Charles Dickens Museum...it was a marathon, but a very enjoyable one.

I'm really missing getting out on walks, but tonight D suggested I do a wee bike ride. It was just great, and good to get the legs moving. I'll go a bit further tomorrow, hopefully.
