Tenacity and determination

For two hours I watched the magpie from my window at breakfast time. She had clearly been up for several hours before me and her and her partner worked tirelessly to place one twig, yes just one twig, in the crook of the tree that they wanted to call home.
The joy of living right in the city and in a top floor flat is I can still witness the delight of nature, struggling to take hold and make life. Below the fox regularly wanders by looking upwards to catch a glimpse of what may eventually become the immature fledgling lunch he seeks!
