Fern and Shadow

A garden day today - weeding, earthing up potatoes, and removing some huge clumps of comfrey. Also the start of the harvest season. A few peas were big enough to eat, bilberries in the forest are ripe enough to eat comfortably, took a few broad beans (also known as fava beans, or in Swedish, bond bönor) and picked some spinach leaves.  Jan cut a heap of grass and did some weeding among the flowers. The day started cool, but by the end of the afternoon it had really warmed up!
Rose arrived in the middle of the day and we paused for coffee and ice-cream, then it was back to work until it got too hot to work, at which point we drove to the local lake and had a swim.
A good day, even if not much happened.
