Southern Hawker

I check my pond every morning and, up until today, I've always been too late. Most mornings, I see evidence of new emergences as the exuvia hangs on to the lily leaves and today, there wasn't just one, but three Southern Hawkers drying their wings. Two were fairly accessible from the edge of the pond, but the third one was in an awkward position for photographing. I watched them all dry out and fly off. Such a delight.
