Bayern Kurve sign
This wooden piece is part of the scenery on an amusement park ride. There are not many Bayern Kurves left. Kennywood had the closest one to us, but the park removed it this year. Terrible.
I'll let Wikipedia describe it: The Bayern Kurve is roller coaster like amusement ride that moves a train around a banked circular track, gaining speed as the ride progresses. It is made in both a portable and park model and originally debuted in 1965.
Jill won this in an auction. We drove to Pittsburgh last week to pick it up. Now it's in the basement. This used to be on Kennywood's, but that one was moved to Florida before it was sold. The model Kennywood just got rid of was a different one.
