Eycott Hill

Our local branch of the Cumbria Wildlife Trust organised a trip to this upland reserve. The limited places were easily filled, one lady having travelled from Grange-over-Sands. It was easy for us as we live within a few miles.

I trailed behind the group, partly to take photos and partly because my knee was playing up on the uneven ground.

I was delighted one of the party spotted this pair of mating ringlets. 

I've put up a short slideshow of the sort of things to see there at this time of year. Didn't get good shots of everything but never mind!
