Special moments

A smooth journey home this morning. It took three hours of solid driving. The roads were very busy but kept moving, thankfully. The landscape alongside the M1 has changed so much since the vast warehouses storing goods for delivery have been constructed.

This is Oliver’s collection of goodies from his running. He started doing Junior Park Run several years ago and loved it so much he now runs for an athletic s club.

My visit was really lovely, especially in that I was able to see my niece and nephew in their school routine, take part in biology and physics revision and get a guided tour of Oliver’s bedroom - enjoying all the things that children do before they become teenagers. It also left me feeling quite reflective - of the passing of time, life stage transitions and how important it is to relish these special moments together.
