Invasion

The presence of chickens in a garden is not a good idea. It's their scratching that is so destructive, but the problem is how to keep them out. I keep them locked in their large enclosure all the morning but they have rooted up all the grass so I tend to let them out if I'm around in the afternoon, so they can graze.
There seems to be no solution other than miles of fencing.
