Squalls

Squalls of heavy hail pass by Cockenzie Power Station where the red switch was pressed last Friday morning so ending over 45 years of generating electricity. If the twin chimneys are demolished they will be missed as a landmark on the Forth. Although there is planning consent to turn it into a gas fired power station nothing definite is planned at the moment until clarification of the Energy Bill and some say there is a need for more renewable energy instead.

I missed blipping the rainbow over the chimneys as there were too many buildings in the way so went down onto the foreshore, but unfortunately the huge arc of the rainbow had almost disappeared by then.
