Killed by a Buffalo

I got my appointment time for the Dr (turned out to the the nurse) wrong by 30 mins so decided to go for a stroll. St Nicholas Churchyard is a favourite and trying to read the old gravestones. Dawnay Road is just around the corner from me. This chap, apparently killed by a buffalo (how many people can claim that) was called Guy Cuthbert Dawnay so presumably some local connection. I suppose that if you decide to go hunting in East Africa in 1889 then you need to look out for Buffalo. Let that to be a warning to us all (would confess that its deffo not on my bucket list).
