Donkey Field Foal

My daughter and granddog came for a walk at ours for a change. As we passed close to the Donkey Field, owned by our farmer neighbour, we heard snuffling. We peered through the hedge and were delighted to see that the grey mare has a foal. It's a funny-looking little thing. Its blaze is a bit skew-whiff and half of its muzzle is dark and the other pink. It doesn't show in my main image but it has a very hairy chin and light skin around its eyes. (Extras) We love it.

Ollie dog and I went to see it again after lunch. After neighing at us it approached and let me stroke it.

My grandfather used to help look after animals in this field and my grandmother was the housekeeper at the farm when my father was a baby. My father kept and bred horses after I left home. He would love this little one.
