I remembered the English "Hail and farewell." - BUT - had to check up to be sure of the Latin.
Got home relatively early yesterday and was greeted by the Irises, which were barely in bud as we left, smiling at me from the pond as a consolation prize for missing so much of the scent from the Buddleja alternifolia in the front garden.
I suppose, with the title that way round the photos are incorrectly ordered? 
Hail "Otter" be at the top, with Farewell below?
