Stardrops
TUESDAY
This bottle of Stardrops is around 20 years old. It belonged to my mum who swore by it and always kept some in her sink cupboard. Today I put it to good use and, despite its age, it did a brilliant job.
The heavy rain of Monday reminded me that the eaves spouts needed cleaning along with the fascias and soffits. It was a nice bright day so I got the ladders out and progressively worked round the house I also cleaned the down pipes, the upstairs windows and frames and cleared the silt out of the drains. I also replaced half a dozen soffit vents as the plastic was brittle and perished. As I was working off a ladder, I took it easy. The whole job took me several hours but was worth it.
Tomorrow it's power washing the flags and cleaning the ground floor windows. What a way to spend my annual leave?
