Last years grass

A quick blip from the back garden.

A few hours on domestic chores this morning and then off to Jonathan's football match. That was more in hope than expectation that it would be played. After a couple more days of rain interspersed with snow, the ground is sodden again. Some parts of the 6 pitches were six inches deep in water. As the council who administers the area hadn't themselves called off all matches is was down to either the ref or the two team managers to agree that play wasn't possible. As a consequence, we still had to turn up in time for the official kick-off time even though we knew that play wasn't going to be possible. A fruitless journey - even if it was only 1/4 mile away from home.

At least I had a chance to think about Tuesday's upcoming celebratory blip - It will be an engineers blip I suspect.

This was a quick sojourn in the garden - As no tidying up has yet been possible, there are a few left overs from last year. It might be tere a few weeks yet!
