Shooting in the trees
Out in Linda Vista Gardens this afternoon with CB, in lovely sunshine, though it's a bit muted in this blip. A Proper Photographer captured here, with tripod and all (unlike me)!
For educational purposes, the trees are, from left to right, Beech, Weeping Birch, Foxglove Tree (with colour beginning to show on the boughs as the flowers develop), Sweet Chestnut, Monkey Puzzle (with the lovely light green juvenile growth at the tips), Birch. If you think I've got any of these wrong - do please tell me! This is what they are labelled in the plan in the brochure about the gardens, but since I drew the plan, I must take responsibility for any errors!
In case any of you are interested, the organ playing this morning was catastrophy-free, barring the odd fleeting wrong note - and it did win a little applause from a couple of the congregation (neither friends, relations nor paid claque!) after the concluding voluntary. I'm relieved!
