MEDICINE BLISTER PACKS

Not much to report today.  Pottered around at home until 5pm and then walked down to the village to go to my Slimming Group.  Very quiet there this week.  Only 17 members turned up to get weighed and only 6 of us stayed afterwards for the meeting. Apparently lots of members were unable to attend as they are self isolating at the moment.  I lost one pound this week.  One lady who only started coming to group last week lost 9½ pounds.  And one gentleman who only started 7 weeks ago has lost 3 stone so far.  Its great to see others getting such good results.

The weather was dull at first today but then the sun came out and it got quite warm late afternoon.  Just in time for my walk to and from the village.

I was sorting out some blister medicine packs when I decided to blip them for Tiny Tuesday.  Thanks to osuzanna for hosting.  Ive been collecting blister packs for a few months now after reading on Facebook that you could take them to the pharmacy counter at Superdrug branches and they would send them away for recycling.  As I take a few different types of medications the blister packs soon mount up and I like the idea of getting them recycled instead of just throwing them in the bin.  So when Ive collected a big bag full I take them to the Superdrug in Newcastle as they have a pharmacy counter.  The blister packs get sent off to Terracycle for recycling.

Start collecting any brand of empty medicine blisters so the next time you are able to visit your Superdrug pharmacy, you can drop them off in the dedicated collection boxes. Start collecting your little packs now and start making a big impact!    Once collected, the empty blister packets are separated by polymer type and cleaned (if necessary). The material is then extruded into plastic pellets to make new recycled products
