Happy St Patricks Day.


The strong sunlight through the thin clouds diffused like a giant soft-box just as I pulled in close to this colourful chap. This was shot in RAW with no adjustments anywhere, the only thing I did was to sharpen with the High Pass* filter (set to 3) on a duplicate layer then set the blending mode** to Hard Light .

* In PS this is under Filters>Others.
** In PS this is in a drop down menu above the "layers"....over on the bottom right.

If you've never tried sharpening this way before - I highly recommend you try it.

An alternative for today and yesterday are quite worth a look at.
