I’m back

... and feeling OK about it.  The weather was absolutely foul for my drive here, with only the occasional respite and lull as the rain drove down and the lorries turned it into a blanket of spray fog.

I had to stop in Stokesley on my way past, first for the loo and second because my eyes began to prickle and I’d forgotten to pick up the tablets i'd left in the kitchen.  I had a really lovely chat with the Rev Sally when I got to Danby.  Freshly baked ginger biscuits and coffee provided by Sally’s husband were very welcome as I hadn’t had time to stop and eat during my journey.  A lovely conversation with Pam when she got back from rescuing a hedgehog and a very welcome online chat with GG in the evening.  It all really helped get me through what I thought might be a very emotional `second' homecoming.

I love the new mat and the changes Pam has made to the cottage, including the new table.

Ive had a peaceful night and slept all the way through until 4.40, which is amazing for me.

p.s.  it’s still raining this morning.
