No more chickens.
This field belongs to a farmer up the road. He used to supply chickens to a local poultry plant but it became too expensive to keep up the chicken houses so he tore them down. Now, he seems to do odds and ends, a few cows, some horses. I guess the boat allows him access to the small pond, however it doesn't seem to get much use. Arkansas is a huge supplier of poultry with locals often owning the chicken houses and selling to Tyson's, George's and Simmon's. I guess it used to be a good way to make a living but it's hugely expensive for the locals who raise the chickens. The financial burden seems to be all on the local owners who can only hope everything goes exactly right.
