Beautiful root wood

Today we did as planned. At first D used our high pressure cleaner to lay the roots free (sawing them whilst still in the earth is not beneficial for the saw chain). After we let the sun doing its drying work we removed all the roots around the thuja trunk, also some visible roots underneath.
Because a thuja is shallow-rooted, meaning normally no big roots going deep into the earth, chances were big that these actions would be sufficient. And they were!! With some pushing and pulling we could turn the trunk over and "admire" the bottom side. Only a couple of small roots, really! See Teba's blip for it, where we remove earth so the trunk will become lighter.
We then rolled the trunk to another place in our garden, where it may wait until we saw it into handy pieces for our fire place.
