Sing a Rainbow!

It was the perfect weather for my rainbow umbrella today; no wind and torrential rain. I like to think it added a splash of colour to a very grey weather day too. :-)

Only yesterday, as I was driving home from Troon, did I think about how great it was that Gareth Southgate and the England team had managed to inject a little bit of positivity and unity back into the country. It seemed particularly great given a year, and a bit, of being so divided with things like Brexit, Black Lives Matter and Covid...

...and today? We hear of the behaviour of some despicable racist trolls who have been sending abusive messages to the players who missed their penalties. The colour of the players skin is entirely irrelevant. All those, on both teams, who took a penalty in a major final deserve nothing but admiration. Maybe we should feel inspired by them. They reminded us to always be brave.
