It’s the time of year...

when fungus appears and the amazing Stinkhorn is found mostly by smell. As you can imagine it is revolting to humans but flies adore it, as you can see in the extra.
There were lots of Meadow Brown and Ringlet butterflies about and Chimneysweep moths and the Melancholy Thistles looked beautiful too. I could have done a pretty picture, but....
