Redshank, aka lady's thumb .......

........ and also given many other names.  Its posh name is Persicaria maculosa.  Another plant for my intermittent collection of "uncultivated plants" found in our garden.

A common weed, it is found in abundance in our garden.  It's an annual, and quite small and pretty, so apart from the propensity to increase due to spreading seeds, it's not difficult to deal with.  If I'm weeding, I may pull it out, especially if it is impinging on other plants.
