July Sabbatical For Choir And Orchestra

Every year, after our patriotic music presentation, the choir and orchestra have the rest of July off with no Wednesday rehearsals or Sundays in the loft until the first Sunday in August.  Meanwhile our ensembles take over special music and I get to show you more of our blended musicians during the praise and worship.  This morning , we were blessed by the sweet harmonies of our ladies' ensemble, Sweet Assurance, during the call to worship an special music.  When we had prepared our hearts through worship and praise led by Daniel and Ben and accompanied by the other musicians you can see in the collage, Matt Freeman brought us a timely message on God's call in the life of the Christ-follower.  He doesn't just call ministers to share the good news of Jesus and his work in our lives.  He calls us all, y'all!  He asks us to recognize His call on our lives, to be willing to get out of our comfort zones, to seek out people who need Him in their lives and to share our stories of what He has done in our own lives. No matter what kind of story it might be, He can use it to minister to others and bring glory to His name.  If you have a chance please listen to his message on the live-stream video.  It will certainly bless you and be worth your time....Looking forward to next week!  Aren't you?
