Winter champs day 1

Annual Maine state winter championships, at Bowdoin college. Colby is having a great meet so far. Lane 5, 100 fly. She won. She didn't duck under her own best time but feels strong and ready to do it next weekend in Virginia at Sectionals.

The contrast between the police standing in our kitchen on Wednesday night and a brightly lit pool and swim competition is not lost in me. One feels like the Twilight Zone and one doesn't.
