Surprise!

I've seen pictures of Yester Castle before but I was still surprised by the size (ridiculously tall walls), spookiness (of the Goblin Ha') and precipitous location (don't look down)! It's also more difficult to find than I had anticipated as it's not signposted and is concealed behind the trees.

The walk to and from was very, very muddy but we had luck on our side and made it to the Lanterne Rouge cafe in Gifford right before the rain started.
