Wild Edric

Another of the newly planted roses and it is a fabulour colour.  This one was named after a Saxon Lord who led the English resistance to the Norman conquest so he wasn't very successful ... legend has it that he married a fairy princess anfter he promised never to reproach her.  After a number of years, he did.  And she disappeared.  He spent the rest of his days roaming the Shropshire countryside looking for her but never found her.
Hope his rose fares better.
