Marmot, Anseindaz
One of four marmots we saw today enjoying the view above Anseindaz (see extras). We headed up to Anseindaz first thing this morning then took a little used path up to the summit of Tour d’Anxeinde as my husband hadn’t been up there before. The walk up was misty and cool but then the clouds lifted and we were blessed with incredible views as well as marmots.
We took the Jeep road down and we quite shocked at how much erosion has been caused by the huge thunder storms that we’ve been having recently. There are now three diggers on the track ready for action. On the way up, the owner of the refuge was digging, trying to clear a path for his Jeep following last night’s storm.
Early blip then off to meet friends at a local bar for a pizza and the watch the Euro football final. Living in a village with such an international community it will be a lively evening! Go England!
