Flowering leeks

It was bright and sunny early this morning but became overcast and very humid. Into the afternoon the clouds have become darker with some rain showers.
A longer walk this morning on a route we haven't taken for a number of months. There seem to be fewer people out and about than now than last year. Perhaps everyone is returning to their old activities (whatever they might be.) What is happening to all the dogs that people obtained during lockdown?
A few hours in the garden feeding plants and general tidying and feeling there is not much to show for my efforts.
Not long before kick-off now. I am hoping for a good match and for England to win, but don't want to hear another government minister invoking 'the Southgate spirit' and the sense of pride the team have brought to the nation when they have previously criticised them as part of their cultural war.
