A sad day....

I didn't take this photo myself, it was one that my daughter Emma took on the day of her step-great-grandmother's funeral.

Nancy had been the second wife of my husband's grandfather and every member of the family adored her. She seemed to be eternally youthful, a magical and delightful lady who spoke with a song in her voice.

We all expected Nancy to live forever, so when she suffered a serious fall we all said that if anyone could pull though this, Nancy would.

Unfortunately for us all, she didn't pull through after all and the Angels welcomed another Angel into their heavenly fold.

The photo that Emma took on her mobile phone is the gravestone of her grandparents, my mum and dad.
