Toadflax bee

Last summer my mother had a beautiful purple toadflax in a pot which was loved by little ginger carder bees. There were several to be seen methodically visiting every tiny flower.
She gave me a cutting in a pot and I just noticed it flowering today and guess what - a carder bee.
How they managed to find ot 200 miles away is a mystery
