Top Trainer

Leo was a happy chappy after the goalkeeper awards ceremony. He came away with a top trainer award.

In perfect timing the rain held off for the awards ceremony and it pelted down just as Leo and I made it the car.

We had real hassle getting there thanks to the usual Friday holiday travel chaos on the roads. And I guess there will be lots more of it this year with lots more staycationing. Thankfully I had trundled down the old road and avoided the motorway which was blocked for miles. The police had closed one lot of services near us as they got blocked up with caravans so traffic was queuing on to the motorway.  They were directing people straight back on to the motorway to continue crawling slowly on to the next lot.  Not a great journey to or from their holiday destination.

It is a footie filled weekend, after goalie training and awards on Friday, Leo has a friendly match on Saturday and then it’s the big match on Sunday.  Let’s hope Leo’s award is a good omen for positive results all round.
