Recount

The result of the school talent show contest was announced today and after a hard-fought campaign, President Teddy (and Matilda) came in second place!!

When the finalists were shown in each class, m’boy reported cheering from his lot when President Teddy showed up, to the point of which the teacher had to wait for them to calm down before starting the video once more.

From what he was saying, the vote was very close, but I understand that the eventual winner was a young lady who played the piano and sung a song.

Either way, Matilda was chuffed to bits and President Teddy returned home from school today wearing a cardboard suit of armour and clutching a paper sword, he seemed happy enough.

It was a bit of a mad rush after school to get them fed and ready for their cricket session, but totally worth it, as my former father-in-law and I sat watching them being put through their paces whilst catching up over a pint.

When we returned home, The Eldest was waiting for us and she was immediately engulfed by the wee ones who hadn’t seen her in a couple of weeks.

What a lovely way to start the weekend!
