Botanical Garden Sunset

One of my NY veterinarian friends did not leave any time in her continuing education schedule to enjoy Arizona. So I whisked her away from downtown to the Desert Botanical Garden this evening for a walk in the wildflower garden followed by dinner. Gertrude's is a brand new restaurant at the garden and I had heard it was quite good. The food was good, but the have a lot to learn about service - not only slow, but the customer care was lacking, which was disconcerting at the price range. I am not sure I would go back. Which is too bad, given that the garden is my favorite place in Phoenix.
