On the way to visit an invalid

We did a bit of a detour on the way to visit an incapacitated relative and fellow blipper and ended up in Bury St Edmonds
Although the tower, the entrance to the Abbey Gardens , is far more  architecturally significant I found the signpost more interesting. I have never seen one like this before, far fancier than normal signs. Looked for it on Google, very little info, just that it was an art deco sign. Looks like a light house to me, I wonder if this lit up after dark to illuminate the finger posts.
Spent several hours with the invalid chatting happily and laughing at him. Currently it looks as if he has a tattoo of a stunning sunset on a very stormy night up the back of his thigh, impressive colours  but very painful. A lot of rest is needed in the next few weeks for him to  recover
Hopefully our visit improved his day, I know the grapes were welcomed, as was the beer.
