White Clematis (FF09_2021)
A day of errands today so I had a wander around the garden for a flower Friday blip. These white clematis flowers appear to be reaching their peak so they have become my blip.
The variety is Forever Friends, given to Gill for a significant birthday by one of her painting friends, the ladies what paint
One of today's errands was seeking out a new lawn mower (we know how to live!) As we already have the battery and charger for our big strimmer and chainsaw it made sense to go for a compatible cordless mower and as Stihl are making some cosmetic changes we had the last one of the current model at a small discount. Much quieter than the petrol Hyundai it is replacing and it has done a good job on its first try-out.
There were a few comments about my sundial for Wide Wednesday this week, so I have added in an extra (on Wednesdays blip) of a sundial we saw at RHS Rosemoor. Not a type I have seen previously and no idea how it works as the year is split into two with a section for each 6 month period and the two gnomons are horizontal. Normally they would have a sloping edge at the same angle as the latitude of wherever the dial is sited.
