Collective bees

Our neighbour keeps bees and I enjoy their quite hum down in the allotment as they went about their business.  As I was watering the greenhouse, I noticed the hum was louder than usual.  I came out and investigated - the bees were on the move.  They were circling the allotment looking for a new home.  Eventually they settled on a tree on our side of the property.
I did contemplate whether they now belonged to us and that I had acquired some new unwanted responsibilities.  However, I decided they belonged to whoever was foolhardy enough to remove them.  Fortunately, our neighbour was at home; he got dressed appropriately, placed a ladder against the tree, climbed up and knocked them into a box.  It took him a couple of attempts.  They are now in a cosy hive on the neighbour's side where they should be.  Such excitement!!
