Art Deco in Hertford

I went to Hertford to visit my friend Frances who has moved into an assisted living flat. As the last of my college friends' group, this is really sad as she had been diagnosed with a rare brain condition. We still had a good time with lots of laughter and memories.

I parked some distance away from the centre of Hertford, which is a nightmare. I enjoyed reminding myself of a town I used to know very well. These Art Deco buildings were the head office for Addis, the toothbrush and kitchen ware manufacturer. The first was built in 1935 with a similar second building added in 1955. Addis closed in 1993 and a large retail park is now behind the Art Deco offices.
