Beautiful flowers from Rishton.
I only recently discovered thanks to my sister contacting our long unknown cousin, that today was the birthday of our late Great Grandfather Alexander. Most of our family love gardening, so this is a tribute for him.
Feast Day of St.Everild and St. Veronica of Giuliani.
It is 20c and pleasantly close. I am trying hard to avoid snacking, so as to lose about 4 pounds. Chocolates, Magnums and biscuits are not going to be enjoyed for a while. Instead whole almonds and celery and adding lemon to water. Avoiding tonic water, as it is full of sugar!
I have walked as far as High Street bridge and the old fashioned pink roses grow down beside the canal. They have a divine fragrance, a little like Paul Smith's Rose perfume.
Back to the housework now and I have just watered my flowerpots, as they dry out quickly in this arid weather.
I hope you all have a good weekend as the weather is forecasting a mini heatwave. Take care and thanks for dropping by today.
