Sail Away

I guess you're never too old to learn something new.  I spent most of my day watching lectures on photography on TV, "Masters of Photography: National Geographic Photographers".  They covered everything from bugs to landscapes and it was wonderful.  I was truly inspired so I went looking for something different for my blip.  After hearing one of the lectures which was about light and framing a photograph, I thought these boats, framed by the tree might qualify, sort of.

Believe it or not, when I was much, much younger I wanted to be a photographer for National Geographic.  That magazine was a family favorite and I think we saved every one, like a lot of families.  We didn't have TV or computers so magazines were really important.   Based on the amount of travel and level of difficulty involved in getting those spectacular photographs, I don't think I would have survived.  I wasn't much of an adventurer.  I'm glad they were and still are.  So, I'll keep watching and listening and learning from the masters.  You're never too old for that.
