yarn-tisans
Edinburgh Yarn Fest was today. Very busy. They've just posted on Facebook that there were 1452 adult visitors, 220 kids, 40 stallholders+support staff, 30 volunteers. I'm pretty sure that most of them were there when I was!
I didn't manage to see Knit1girl1 BUT I realise that I may have done, because I do remember the Once A Sheep stall. (mainly cos the name made me laugh!)
I'm not sure the day was what I thought it was going to be. But I'm not entirely sure what I thought it'd be. I would definitely go again. I would have a shopping list and perhaps I would have taken spinning lessons or weaving or something similar. There were lots of things geared to those sort of people as well as the 'ordinary' knitter. Not too many patterns being sold though.
This was one of only a couple of displays of colour in 'order' but guess what bit is making me wish I'd fixed it before I took a snap? There were hundreds and hundreds of colours so I'm probably wanting to do a couple of days of monochrome to make up for it! Loads of stalls with suitcases of balls / hunks/ hanks / bundles..... I'll probably dream of colours dancing around!!
