Depressed :-(
Sonny Bradley watching on as Paul McCallum receives far too much attention from the Wimbledon defenders.
Pretty even game, but for 2 mistakes by the Shots. Firstly Craig Read had a wonderful opportunity to score when their keeper parried a cracking shot that one of our players had from 25 yards out into his path no more than 2 yards from the goal-line.
The second mistake was more costly when Aaron Morris (who otherwise had a good game) failed to clear his lines after Jamie Young made a save. The ball fell to Jack Midson who calmly lifted it over the stranded Jamie Young into the top corner.
This puts us joint bottom of the league - and most of the other teams around us have got a game in hand to play on Tuesday night. I guess if they all lose 25-0 it would help our goal difference?
7 games left - 3 wins should do it, but with 2 home defeats in one week, it's hard to see where they are going to come from. Best we can do is keep our fingers crossed and not lose the faith .....
